National Treasure

Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) has been dedicated to finding and protecting the world's greatest and most mystical stash of treasure. Comprised of relics and gold spanning millennia, this treasure is one secret that many, many people would love to get their hands on.

Racing against British agent Ian Howe (Sean Bean), Ben and his team struggle to decipher clues left behind by the Founding Fathers of the United States of America so that they might claim the treasure and give it to the rightful possessors.

This was such a fun movie. It's like Indianna Jones, Disney style. Great family movie for everyone and a definite must-see this year. It's big on the American history, too, so you'll learn something, in addition to being entertained.

Phantom of The Opera

In Joel Schumacher's adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's fantastic musical, Christine Daae (Emmy Rossum) is rocketed to stardom in 1800's France by the careful machinations of the Phantom of The Opera (Gerard Butler). Torn between her dedication to his music and her feelings towards her old childhood friend, Raoul (Patrick Wilson), Christine discovers that the world of opera can be deadly, especially when your tutor is the jealous type.

Beautifully adapted for the screen, this production captures the essence of the stage production and magnifies it with the ease and wonder of cinema. Fans of the stage production will not be disappointed with this movie and I highly recommend it.
